Biomechanical Engineering Researcher
Yann Blake is a Biomechanical Researcher at Trinity College Dublin, in Ireland. He is specialised in Ocean Phenomena, Marine Protection and Neuroengineering fields and investigates Information Systems solutions for Alzheimer’s Disease Patients. Recently, he designed a smart device GlanNet which targets the main source of Ocean Pollution. Prior to his Research activity, alongside his studies of Engineering and Management Sciences, Mr Blake has been actively involved in journalism – reporting on many major cultural events across Europe and interviewing prestigious guests such as Patrick Poivre d’Arvor (French TV Broadcaster), Alain Juppé (former French Prime Minister), Natalie Dormer or Jean-Claude Mezières. In 2013, he was the Curator of an Exhibition in Nantes dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Tif et Tondu. Mr Blake is a Huawei Seeds for the Future Alumni. He has a strong eagerness for travelling and discovering new cultures. He is French-Irish and speaks four languages fluently. Yann Blake is pro-Treasurer of the College Historical Society, the world’s oldest debating society founded in 1770 – where he delivers speeches ranging from foreign affairs to 5G technologies. He is also Delegate General of THE SONAR DIPLOMACY, an international non-profit organisation promoting multicultural exchanges.
