Huawei scoops core network award at 5G World Summit
The 5G core network is the hub for building ubiquitous connectivity and scheduling network resources
It connects things and people, enabling 5G to better serve the industrial Internet and industry digitalisation.
Huawei’s solution is built on leading technologies and creates the industry's first core network to fully support 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G convergence.
"Huawei has continuously invested in 5G core network R&D to gain industry leading expertise in 5G technology,” said Ma Liang, director of the Huawei’s Cloud Core Network Product Management Department. “We collaborate with carriers and industry partners to continuously develop 5G applications in vertical industries, enable a thriving industry ecosystem, and prepare for the mature commercial use of 5G.”
As of June 2019, Huawei has won 46 commercial 5G contracts globally, and has launched a series of cross-industry collaborations in fields including smart grids, virtual reality, the Internet of Vehicles and remote surgery.
