lt has already been one year since our Huawei Cyber Security Transparency Centre opened its doors in Brussels.
With over 1500 visitors so far, and just as many constructive and rich exchanges, we are confident that the Centre has found its unique place at the heart of Europe. We believe it will continue to entertain passionate interactions around our European digital future.
We would like to celebrate this anniversary by organizing an event around the "Global commitment on digital trust and security" on the 5th of March.
The event will reflect on developments in digital trust and security for 5G mobile networks. Policy, technology, and security experts will address the following questions:
How does the EU toolbox for 5G security help governments, carriers, and suppliers to improve security and counter the changing and intensifying landscape of cybersecurity threats?
To what extent do existing 5G security standards and practices complement the EU 5G security guidelines, and how can stakeholders combine those frameworks?
How can stakeholders effectively balance politics, regulation, and technology to build an advanced, secure, and cost-effective 5G communications infrastructure?
What needs to be done to improve collaboration between stakeholders to harness the benefits of 5G, while minimizing cybersecurity risks?
