The sudden rise of Chinese innovation has taken the world by surprise. Chinese entrepreneurs are aiming to change the label of "Made in China" into “Designed in China".
In 2016, the number of Chinese patent applications surged by 45%, leading it to become the largest user of the international patent system, surpassing Japan and the United States.
